Chef de Division Direction des statistiques de l'OCDE Nadim Ahmad est le chef de la Division des statistiques du commerce et de la compétitivité de l'OCDE, où il mène des travaux sur les statistiques du commerce, de l'entrepreneuriat, de la productivité et de l'activité horizontale de l'OCDE sur le commerce de la valeur ajoutée. Il est l’auteur de publications dans les domaines de la comptabilité nationale, l'entrepreneuriat, l'économie informelle, la productivité, le capital, et des analyses d'entrée-sortie, et est à la pointe des efforts internationaux visant à développer les comptes économiques internationaux intégrés.

Nadim Ahmad Head of Division Statistics Directorate, OECD Nadim Ahmad is the Head of the Trade and Competitiveness Statistics Division of the OECD’s Statistics Directorate, where he leads work on trade statistics, entrepreneurship, productivity and Trade in Value-Added, and is at the forefront of international efforts to develop integrated international economic accounts.

He has produced a number of publications and papers in the fields of entrepreneurship, the informal economy, productivity, capital measurement, input-output analyses, Intellectual Property Products, Globalisation and Trade in Value-Added, reflecting over 20 years’ experience in official statistics, and was the OECD representative on the Inter Secretariat Working Group on National Accounts that developed the 2008 System of National Accounts.

Prior to joining the OECD in 2000, Nadim worked at the United Kingdom’s Office for National Statistics - where he led work to develop more coherent annual national accounts and analytical tools to estimate quarterly GDP – and the UK’s Finance Ministry (HM Treasury) where he was responsible for monitoring and forecasting, government expenditure, borrowing and debt. He has also conducted PhD research on sonars for the UK’s Admiralty Research Establishment and holds a 1st class honours degree in Mathematics.
