De nationalité italienne, Tito Boeri est actuellement Professeur de sciences économiques à l’Université Bocconi à Milan et Directeur Scientifique à La Fondation Rodolfo Debenedetti (www.frdb.org). Il est Research Fellows au CEPR (Londres), à l’IZA (Bonn) et IGIER-Bocconi. Ses domaines de recherches sont: l’économie du travail, l’économie publique et les politques de redistribution. Il a publié dans des revues prestigieuses telles que American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Perspectives, Economic Policy, the European Economic Review, the Journal of Labour Economics, et the NBER Macroeconomics Annual. Il a publié des ouvrages aux Oxford University Press, aux MIT Press et aux Princeton University Press. Apres son Doctorat d’Economie à l’université de New York, il a été économiste senior à l’OCDE de 1987 à 1996. Il a été aussi consultant à la Commission Européenne, au Fonds Monétaire Internationale, au Bureau Internationale du Travail, à la Banque Mondiale et auprès du gouvernement Italien. Il est le fondateur du site Internet http://www.lavoce.info et directeur scientifique du festival d’économie de Trente.
