Ms. Alissa Koldertsova is a Policy Analyst in the Corporate Affairs Division of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. She is currently responsible for managing OECD's activities on corporate governance in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, including coordinating regional and country-specific roundtables and publications. More recently, her work has focused on regional projects on improving corporate governance of banks and state-owned enterprises.
Since joining the OECD in 2005, Ms. Koldertsova has been primarily working with government and private sector representatives in the MENA region. In this capacity, she has authored and co-authored a number of publications including a book released by the OECD in 2008 on Private Sector Development in the Middle East and North Africa and a Policy Brief on Corporate Governance of Banks in the Middle East and North Africa published in 2009. In addition, she has authored papers for the OECD Steering Group on Corporate Governance and has been involved in several country reviews (Egypt, Russia, Israel).
Prior to the OECD, Ms. Koldertsova worked primarily on risk management, strategy and restructuring issues in the Canadian banking sector, first within the TD Bank Financial Group and subsequently at Deloitte and Touche in Toronto. Ms. Koldertsova holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University (Canada) and a Masters degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics (UK).
