Roland Rathelot a rejoint l'université de Warwick comme professeur assistant d'économie en 2014, après avoir été chargé d'études et de recherche à l'Insee, au Ministère du Travail et au CREST. Ses travaux portent sur l'intermédiation sur le marché du travail, les comportement de recherche d'emploi, la discrimination à caractère ethnique et la ségrégation résidentielle. Ils ont été publiés notamment dans Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Sociological Review, Economic Journal, Quantitative Economics ou Journal of Business Economics and Statistics.
